CUB Water/Wastewater Program Update: We Want to Hear From You!

Last week the Portland Utility Oversight Blue Ribbon Commission held a public hearing that wrapped up the information gathering phase of its work. Ten people testified from a range of perspectives. Workers from the Bureau of Environmental Services and Portland Water Bureau also provided input, representing interesting new perspectives in the discussion.

The Blue Ribbon Commission now turns to developing recommendations for the City Council. This is where you, the ratepayers, come in! Please join us for a CUB phone briefing on the Commission’s draft recommendations on Wednesday, October 8th from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. What a deal: a great opportunity to hear from your consumer advocate and Blue Ribbon Commission member Janice Thompson, and share your own thoughts with us and other ratepayers in real time, all from the comfort of your home!
