CUB Welcome Sharif Morton, New Office Manager

CUB is excited to welcome Sharif Morton as our new Office Manager. In this role, Sharif will engage in CUB’s administrative needs. He looks to bring CUB staff closer together through enhanced organizational management and relentless curiosity.

In reflecting on this new position, Sharif said, “It’s very difficult to know what you want before you know what you can have. CUB consistently enhances the agency of our community with not just knowledge, but financial agency, as well. Enabling others to make meaningful decisions can raise their quality of life. And discussions around what is wanted and what can be had creates ripple effects in their community.”

Sharif was born in Los Angeles and raised in Sacramento. He earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Portland.

He has experience in advocacy, public-facing research, and logistics, and enjoys supporting and enabling his peers. Sharif has overseen multiple efforts from high-profile town halls, creating mutual aid networks, to establishing ethnic studies programs. Outside work he spends his time reading, hiking, and exploring on his bike.
