In the last six months CUB has embarked on a reorganization that has resulted in the creation of a Development and Communications Department. To head-up this department we are pleased to welcome Pamela White as our new Development and Communications Director. Pamela comes to us with more than 20 years of development and community outreach experience and a vision for making CUB a household name!
Pamela is passionate about communicating the mission of the organization to successfully raise both funds and friends.
“As a citizen and ratepayer in Oregon what CUB does matters to me. I am excited to leverage all this change to create a department that will educate all the citizens of Oregon; compelling them to join us in protecting fair utility rates while also protecting our world,” says Pamela. “It is arguably the most important work I have ever been privileged to do.”
Experienced in both traditional and social media communication strategies and best-practice fundraising, Pamela has overseen and executed effective social media, annual fund, major gift and small capital campaigns, grants, events, web updates or redesigns, community outreach, and media relations.
Pamela holds a degree in political science and economics from Marylhurst University, and a certificate in fundraising from Indiana University’s Lilly School of Philanthropy. She is a long-time member of Willamette Valley Development Officers and Meridian United Church of Christ, an active board member at Clackamas Repertory Theatre, and involved in the North Clackamas Chamber. Pamela loves to read, entertain and volunteer as well as hang out with her five fabulous children and their families.
