May was a month of hellos and goodbyes for CUB. Among those were the Regulatory Program’s fond farewell to Law Clerk Sara Althoff and our warm greeting to Law Clerk Jordan Bailey. Sara, already an attorney and recent cum laude graduate of Lewis and Clark’s Environmental Law LL.M. program, was with CUB through the spring. Sara brought diligent research as well as light and laughter to all her projects, and was a joy to work with. While we were sad to see Sara move on, we are delighted to report that she did so because she has obtained a full-time attorney position with Davis Wright Tremaine here in Portland. Congratulations Sara!
Jordan Bailey will be CUB’s Law Clerk for the summer of 2014. Jordan, originally from north of Detroit MI, completed his bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Michigan. He then moved to Oregon to study environmental and administrative law at the University of Oregon School of Law. Now a rising 3L, and this coming year’s Bowerman Energy Law and Policy Fellow at the University of Oregon, Jordan hopes to practice energy law in the Pacific Northwest after graduation. Jordan is excited to be working for CUB and we are excited to have him. We hope to give Jordan the in-depth experience of utility law and regulatory process that we know he desires. Welcome Jordan!
