CUB Attends the NW Public Service Career Fair

This past Saturday, Catriona and I had the privilege of attending the NW Public Service Career Fair (a career fair for law students interested in government and non-profit law employment) at Lewis and Clark College here in Portland. The Career Fair is a great place for law students and alumni to connect with non-profits (like CUB), as well as state and federal government agencies, for clerkships, externships and permanent employment opportunities. Last year, CUB attended and reported that we spoke with some of the Northwest’s brightest and most enthusiastic law students—in fact, that’s where we first met Silvia Tanner, who accepted a clerkship with us for last summer and spent a very busy few months with CUB.

This year, we spent a couple of hours chatting it up with passionate, interested, bright law students, one of whom may just be lucky enough to end up working at CUB. If you are interested in a clerkship or externship opportunity with CUB but were not able to attend the career fair, there is still time to get your application in for our summer clerkship and fall externship positions. CUB is accepting applications for its 2013 summer law clerk position through close of business February 15, 2013. CUB is also accepting applications for externships for the fall and spring semesters on a rolling basis.

To apply for a clerkship and/or externship with CUB, please visit CUB’s Opportunities page. Deadlines for the clerkship are fast approaching, so we encourage all who are interested to submit their materials as soon as possible!

To keep up with CUB, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter!
