CUB’s third annual Policy Conference is just around the corner, coming up this Friday October 25th at The White Stag Block in Old Town Portland, and it’s shaping up to be a great event! We are grateful to our partners at The University of Oregon School of Law for providing the use of the gorgeous White Stag Building for this event. Visit the conference website for transit directions and parking information. Registration will open at 8:00am, and CUB Board Member Dan Jaynes will open the day promptly at 8:30am with a welcome and introduction of our breakfast presentation, from OPUC Commissioner John Savage.
We are also excited to announce our newly added lunch keynote speaker, Andrew Mills, Principal Research Associate in the Electricity Markets and Policy Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Andrew will be speaking on recent research LBNL has been conducting prior to a report that will publish later this year.
The afternoon breakouts are set up to offer a wide range of topics, each an intrinsic and vital piece of the flexibility puzzle.
Join us, along with esteemed speakers and panelists from across the region including Bob Jenks (Oregon CUB,) John Savage (Oregon Public Utility Commission) Lisa Schwartz (Oregon Department of Energy,) Jim Piro (Portland General Electric) J. Rachel Shimshak (Renewable Northwest Project) and others for an in-depth exploration of energy flexibility issues, challenges, and opportunities in the Pacific Northwest, this Friday October 25th. You can view the entire agenda, along with a comprehensive listing of our generous sponsors and community partners, on our conference website.
