Summing Up: Ballots Due Tomorrow!

Over the past few weeks, CUB has reported on various issues related to Measure 26-156, which appears on the May 20th ballot in Portland. This measure proposes to create a public water district, which would create an independently elected volunteer board to manage water and wastewater services, thereby removing current authority over those services from the City Council, the Water Bureau, and the Bureau of Environmental Services. CUB’s board elected to take a neutral stance on this matter, which allowed us to focus on educating and informing voters so their votes can be made with confidence and full knowledge of the facts.

Be sure to vote and turn in your ballot by 8:00 pm tomorrow, Tuesday, May 20th. Check at this Multnomah County Elections link for ballot drop box locations.
