After a highly successful fall and winter outreach season, the long awaited sunshine has arrived and we are enjoying our ventures out and about in Portland! Join CUB for fun and engaging neighborhood street fairs and community events where our outreach table offers lots of ways to learn and get engaged with us. Come play energy trivia, guess your energy mix, join our email list, and find out how to get involved in our efforts for electric vehicle infrastructure and clean energy investment! You can also check out Drive Oregon’s all electric Nissan LEAF that we will have parked next to our booth at many of the events!
There are sure to be more events popping up as the summer progresses, so keep your eyes and ears open for CUB spreading the word about energy efficiency policy, climate change solutions, renewable resource implementation, and consumer awareness! We hope to see you at all of the great community events that Portland has to offer.

Sundown at Ecotrust:
Sundown at Ecotrust is a free outdoor concert series presented by the Ecotrust, featuring local musicians, local businesses, nonprofits, and other mission-driven organizations working to change the way we live and do business in the Northwest.
When: Thursday evenings, July 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st
Time: 5:30pm – 8:30pm
Where: 721 NW 9th Avenue (between Irving St. and Johnson St.)

Drive Revolution: The Future of Transportation:
Hosted by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, this event will highlight sustainable transportation and showcase the latest bike, efficient car, and public transportation options. Visitors will have plenty of hands-on opportunities to learn about the newest engineering techniques and sustainable choices for the future.
When: Saturday July 19th

Sunday Parkways:
An iconic City of Portland event series, these events open streets to pedestrians while fostering civic pride, representing community, and encouraging discovery of active transportation. Look for CUB hosting an intersection along these routes and stop by to check out Drive Oregon’s all electric Nissan LEAF!

Fremont Fest:
Now in its 28th year, the Beaumont-Wilshire Neighborhood Fremont Fest returns to NE Portland. Featuring live music, street vendors, food, a pub crawl, and attractions for children and adults, the Fremont Fest is one summer tradition you don’t want to miss! The Kid’s Bike and Pet Parade will kick things off at 10am, and attractions will be going until 6pm.

Alberta Street Fair:
This fair is a community art and music festival that attracts over 20,000 people annually. Join the CUB Policy center and check out Drive Oregon’s all electric Nissan LEAF!

Where: NE Alberta St. between NE 11th and NE 30th Avenues
42nd Ave Street Fair:
The 42nd Ave Street Fair returns for its 5th year and promises to be bigger and better than ever! Come watch the parade and Classic Car Cruise-In for the Cure. There will be a beer garden, live music, local food and craft vendors, a Kid’s Zone, and of course CUB will be there with Drive Oregon’s all electric Nissan LEAF!
