On February 21st CUB is excited to be participating in a webinar on the Future of Energy Efficiency in the Pacific Northwest, coordinated by the Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP). As a follow-up to our fall policy conference, and tapping into CUB’s history of support for energy efficiency programs, this brown bag event will allow us to share many of the lessons learned in the Pacific Northwest with a broader, national audience. States and local jurisdictions throughout the United States are taking a more directed and aggressive approach to reducing energy use and diversifying their energy sources. As a leader in the region and the nation, we will share successful strategies from we have learned from past experiences, and highlight the most notable challenges and creative solutions for the future.
CUB’s Director of Operations, SA Anders, will discuss this timely subject alongside Wendy Gerlitz, from the Northwest Energy Coalition. Wendy, a Senior Policy Associate with NWEC, has a long history of leading statewide efforts toward sustainable energy policy and environmental considerations. The conversation will be moderated by Kendall Youngblood, Business Development Manager at PECI and AESP board member. AESP is a non-profit member-based association dedicated to “improving the delivery and implementation of energy efficiency, energy management and distributed renewable resources.” AESP offers a variety of opportunities for professional development, trainings, and sharing of knowledge and experience among energy professionals.
CUB is delighted to have the support and partnership of AESP, PECI and the Northwest Energy Coalition. We hope you’ll join us on February 21st to learn more about the innovative possibilities for the future of energy efficiency.
