Your Support Lights CUB’s Way

The holiday season can bring to mind many things: music, gifts, travel, elaborate meals with friends and family, and finding respite from the cold winter weather. We hope that as you read this, treasures and comforts such as these are within your reach. Fundamentally, the traditions around this time of year all have one thing in common: reflecting on that which sustains us throughout the rest of the year. It’s finding light in the darkness, no matter how small or fragile that light may be. Looked at another way, the darkness allows us to see, understand, and appreciate the light that was already there.
As CUB rounds out 2019, that is how we view your support of our work. Whether you’ve shared CUB’s blog posts or emails, signed onto our legislative action campaigns, donated as a CUB member, or simply followed along with our efforts and maybe told a friend or two about something you learned along the way – your support and engagement sustains us, and lights our path as we make our way toward the new year.
2020 will bring new opportunities and new challenges alike, from the short legislative session in February to our 10th annual conference in October, and beyond. We are determined as ever to continue building and advocating for policies that benefit utility consumers, finding ways to protect your pocketbook, and moving Oregon forward in the pursuit of safe, affordable, reliable, and clean utility services for all.
Along the way, we know we can keep relying on your participation to sustain our work and give us a resounding voice as your dedicated consumer advocate. And as far as all of us at CUB are concerned, that is the brightest light of all. Thank you, and happy holidays.
