So, What Are YOU Wondering About?

In the last five years, we’ve covered a lot of topics, looking at a variety of current regulatory issues, hot-off-the-press legislative updates and good ol’ policy analysis. We’ve even shared some internal CUB happenings from time to time.

Mostly we try to write about current events, things that are occurring at the moment that we think are interesting, or things that could have a big impact on ratepayers’ wallets and Oregon as a whole. In recent weeks and months, we’ve written about the resurgence of nuclear power advocacy in the climate change debate and looked at how “green” it is (it’s not). We’ve looked at liquefied natural gas (LNG) and its potential impact (the creation of some jobs; some potentially damaging rate impacts that could wipe out other economic benefits). And we’ve explored real clean energy solutions as well as some meat-and-potato rate case issues.

But now we’re wondering: what are YOU wondering about? Energy and utility issues are in the news almost daily. There’s a lot of good information out there, as well as a lot of misleading information. Having trouble sorting it out? Or do you have a question that you’ve always wanted to ask but haven’t quite figured out how to phrase the Google search? Well, fire away and let us do the research for you.

CUB Online—and the corresponding articles on the website—are a way for CUB members and supporters to keep up on the topics of the day and helps us let you know what we’re up to. We get a lot of good feedback on the topics we cover. But even with everything we pay attention to, we’re pretty sure we miss stuff that is interesting to other folks.
