Save the Date for CUB’s 2022 Energy Policy Conference: October 14

Save the Date: CUB’s 12th annual energy policy conference will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022!

2022 CUB Conference Theme

The theme of the 2022 CUB Conference is Energy Policy for the People. The days of top-down energy policy are over. Oregon’s 100% Clean Electricity law and other major pieces of legislation passed in recent years have been led and developed by grassroots communities. Increasingly, community voices are showing up and seeking more pathways to get involved. But it’s clear that more needs to be done.

How do we make the regulatory process more inclusive and accessible to communities and customers? How do we make our energy systems more equitable and broaden the scope of stakeholders who can have a seat at the table? How do utilities identify and address the concerns of the communities they serve? What will it take to center human needs in the conversation?

These are some of the questions that will shape our agenda on October 14. More agenda details and information about registration will be shared in the coming weeks, so stay tuned! The best way to stay up-to-date about the CUB Conference is to join our email list (select “Policy Conference” in the form under Email Lists). About the CUB Policy Conference

The CUB Policy Conference is designed as a day of discussion, networking, and sharing diverse perspectives. This conference is ideal for:

  • Community groups
  • Regulators
  • Advocates
  • Utility representatives
  • Attorneys

…or those interested in our region’s energy industry!

This year’s conference is returning to in-person, by popular demand, at the University Place Hotel and Conference Center in Downtown Portland.

CUB’s 2020 and 2021 conferences were hosted virtually, as we and countless other organizations adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic. As we prepare to return to an in-person format, COVID-19 transmission in Multnomah County is once again on the rise. CUB is committed to the safety of our audience and program participants. Watch for updates on what you can expect on site in terms of COVID safety policies and practices.
