Portland People’s Climate Movement – Rally and March This Saturday

Organized by the Oregon Just Transition Alliance, this Saturday’s (April 29, 2017) Portland People’s Climate March connects climate change to racial and social justice issues.
Oregon Just Transition Alliance member organizations represent communities at the front line of environmental and climate injustice, including:
- Asian Pacific American Network of Oregon (APANO)
- Beyond Toxics
- OPAL Environmental Justice Oregon
- Pineros y Campesinos Unidos del Noroeste (PCUN)
- Rural Organizing Project
- Unite Oregon
The day’s activities begin at Dawson Park at N. Williams at N. Stanton and include:
- 12:00 noon to 12:30pm – Gather
- 12:30-1:30pm – Program and Speakers
- 1:30-3:30pm – March
- 3:30-5:00pm – Rally at Buckman Park, 300 NE 12th Ave

People’s Climate Action events will occur across the country on April 29. Tillamook and Hood River will host two additional Oregon events.
