I am pleased to announce that Katie Fulton has joined CUB as our new summer law clerk.
Growing up on a farm outside of Portland, Katie knew at a young age that she wanted to work in a career that focused on preserving the Pacific Northwest and benefiting its residents. Her passion for the Pacific Northwest’s natural prestige motivated her to major in Biology at Washington State University, where she graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science. Currently, Katie attends the University of Washington School of Law and will graduate in 2018 with a concentration in Environmental and Natural Resources Law.
“I am grateful for this opportunity to work at CUB and really be exposed to utility regulation.” Katie says of her legal clerkship. “I have already gained a lot of knowledge of the industry that wouldn’t have been possible without this hands-on experience.”
Katie has already started digging into CUB’s summer caseload and will be assisting with discovery for the Cascade general rate case, PacifiCorp’s IRP, and rulemaking for various issue areas affected by the passage of SB 1547, e.g. electric vehicles.
In her free time, Katie enjoys gardening, camping, reading and writing. After graduation, she plans to continue working in energy regulation in Portland.
Welcome Katie!
