CUB Welcomes David Beltrán Barajas, New Community Organizer

CUB's Community Organizer David Beltrán Barajas

We are pleased to welcome David Beltrán Barajas as CUB’s new Community Organizer!

David will be working with communities across Oregon to ensure energy policy reflects the needs of regular people. CUB is committed to working alongside Oregonians to make sure our energy systems work for everyone. We are excited to have David on board to help us continue that mission.

Coming from a working-class immigrant household, David has taken to community organizing as a way to fight for impacted communities in Nevada, and now Oregon. David has 6 years of organizing experience with a background in Immigrant Rights and other issues.

“I’m excited to work at CUB because of the real material help for working-class folks. It’s cool to know that CUB has saved Oregonians 10 billion dollars since its creation!”

- David Beltrán Barajas

David finds joy in building and sharing with his communities, having also worked on various mutual aid projects addressing food and housing insecurity in his community. He’s also a photographer and storyteller, using these passions to talk about and share the stories he finds meaningful.

Outside of work, David enjoys climbing, hiking, and lounging in the outdoors with a good book.

Join us in welcoming David!
