Andrew Rod began his part-timework as CUB’s Database Assistant in September 2018. His contributions are incredibly valuable, and my welcoming him on behalf of the CUB team is long overdue.
As CUB’s Database Assistant, Andrew is responsible for accurately maintaining CUB’s membership and donation records in our relational database. This work is important both for CUB’s internal record management and for our ability to communicate with our members. While other CUB staff have embraced similar responsibilities at various points over the years, including myself, the Database Assistant position is an entirely new role for CUB.
Outside of his work at CUB, Andrew attends Portland State University, working toward a double-major in Finance and Accounting. Andrew is also pursuing a minor in Economics, and tells me he plans to “one day greatly influence the business world.” While not working at CUB or studying for school, Andrew spends his free time with friends and family, snowboarding, playing basketball, or hitting the gym.
As his immediate supervisor, I am grateful for Andrew’s careful and dedicated work maintaining CUB’s all-important membership records. In a remarkably short time, he has become a valued CUB team member, and we all look forward to seeing what his future holds. But in the meantime, we are very glad to have him.
Welcome, Andrew!
