CUB Anniversary Club: a New Way to Support Our Mission

As you know, over 30 years ago CUB was established by Oregon voters through a ballot initiative. However, we didn’t actually begin fighting for Oregon utility rate-payers until 1985. Then as now, protecting pocketbooks, defending the public interest in front of the Public Utility Commission, and advancing a legislative agenda which benefits Oregonians, all come with a price tag. So, in honor of our heralded beginning, I’m pleased to introduce an exciting initiative!
The 2015 Anniversary Club Campaign is a new campaign to raise an additional $30,000 by asking 300 supporters to give $100. If you give regularly, please consider bringing your gift up to, or increasing it by $100. If you have been away for a while, I would like to invite you to renew your membership at $100.
Your support truly matters because:
- Your generosity supports CUB Attorneys, with the aid of our Utility Analysts’ complex economic modeling, to defend consumers by disputing unfair rate-increase requests.
- Your membership guarantees that CUB’s lobbying efforts advance the discussion in Salem around the consumer and environmental policies that matter most to Oregonians.
- Your contribution ensures that CUB is committed to developing clean energy resources that allow Oregon to reduce pollution without raising costs.
Won’t you go to our Anniversary Club webpage and Join with an immediate contribution and/or pledge? If you join or give by April 30th, 2015, you’ll be honored on as an Inaugural Anniversary Club member with a certificate, a commemorative button, and an invitation to our Anniversary Club Gathering where I will be on hand to offer updates on CUB’s 2015 regulatory and legislative work. While any size donation is ALWAYS appreciated, it would be really great if you would support CUB with a $100 donation and JOIN THE CLUB!
The new Anniversary Club webpage is part of a comprehensive redesign of the “Membership” section of the CUB website (formerly titled “Member Services”). We are making many more updates to our website over the next several weeks; stay tuned for a blog post from CUB Communications/Marketing Associate Amelia Lamb, explaining these changes and orienting readers to the new webpage navigation.
