NE Portland Grid Infrastructure Bike Ride!
Saturday, July 25, Chapman Square near the SW waterfront, Meet up 3 PM
Join the Oregon Citizens’ Utility Board at 3:00 pm on July 25 for a relaxed-paced, educational tour about Portland’s electric grid and why your rates have gone up, and what we can do about it. This tour will start at Chapman Square, cover the Convention Center and the Moda Center, pass by Pacific Power substations, the Lloyd Center, and finish up at Pacific Power’s headquarters. During what a better grid could look like and what tools we have available to combat rate increases.
At the final stop, we’ll talk about the latest request to raise power bills and how we can get involved as customers. We’ll offer a testimony workshop ahead of regulators’ July 27th public comment meeting if you want to prepare written or verbal testimony against bill increases. Or just join and learn about how to get involved with future utility cases.
The bike ride is free! If you feel inclined to support CUB’s work in fighting for energy affordability and keeping Oregon’s for-profit utilities in check, you can choose to donate with one of the priced tickets.
Free! (Suggested donation)
