Jimmy Lindsay, Director of Resource Planning, is responsible for Portland General Electric’s Integrated Resource Plans, Distribution System Plan, and generation Request for Proposals. In these plans and procurement processes, PGE identifies customers’ energy, capacity, and decarbonization generation resource needs and proposes the best portfolio strategies to address these needs. Most recently, PGE published its findings in its 2023 CEP/IRP Update which studied how quickly growing industrial demands contribute to customers’ overall need for generation and transmission resources. Jimmy’s career has included responsibilities and roles in PGE’s Structuring & Origination, Generation Procurement, Regulatory Strategy, and Integrated Resource Planning functions. Prior to PGE, Jimmy led Renewable Northwest’s advocacy work through regulatory and planning engagement. Jimmy has a Bachelor’s in Physics and History from Bowdoin College.
