Greer Ryan

Greer is the Senior Regulatory Director for Education + Innovation at Vote Solar, a national nonprofit advancing clean energy solutions — including distributed energy resources — to lower costs, strengthen reliability, and cut climate emissions. In this role, she leads regulatory education and utility reform work and advises staff on policy strategy.
Prior to Vote Solar, Greer worked at Climate Solutions as the Clean Buildings Policy Manager, where she helped lead efforts to advance equitable building electrification and gas system transition policy solutions at the Oregon legislature and state agencies. Before Climate Solutions, Greer was the Senior Energy Policy Analyst at the Center for Biological Diversity, focused on energy justice solutions related to distributed solar and utility accountability.
Greer holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science from Indiana University and a bachelor’s in Molecular Environmental Biology from UC Berkeley. She is based in Milwaukie, Oregon.
