Marcus “Aaron” Luke is an energy analyst with the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR). He is a Walúulapam, Wáylatpu, and Wenatchípam descendant and is enrolled with the CTUIR. He received his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences with a focus on water resources and a Bachelor of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering from the Oregon Institute of Technology. During his six years as a college intern with the CTUIR Energy and Environmental Sciences Program, he applied for and received a sizable amount in various private, state, and federal grants for energy development, planning, and capacity, including a recently constructed 1.56 MW solar array. He also assisted in the development of the CTUIR Strategic Energy Plan, the CTUIR Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, and the CTUIR First Foods Policy. Most recently, he led development of the CTUIR Nuclear Policy. He is currently pursuing a Project Management Professional certification and intends to pursue further certifications to maximize his energy management toolbox.
