CUB Board Members Have a Capitol Day
CUB’s Board of Governors work hard. Elected by our members, they spend hours setting the organization’s policies, overseeing our finances, and making sure that the organization fulfills its mission to represent residential ratepayers.
Last week, board members set up shop in Oregon’s state capitol to help push CUB’s legislative agenda. After weeks of getting reports on the progress of the various bills for which CUB is advocating, the board did their part by meeting with key legislators to move some important bills forward.

CUB at the Future Energy Conference
The Northwest Environmental Business Council is hosting their 11th annual Future Energy Conference in Portland on April 16th and 17th. Held at the Red Lion Hotel in Jantzen Beach, this two day event will bring together a wide range of members of the energy industry throughout the Pacific Northwest. ETO: Low Costs, Real Results…SB 807: Not So Much
Earlier this week, we wrote about SB 807, the bill CUB believes adds nothing to the transparent way that the Energy Trust of Oregon operates but does add unnecessary costs to the independent audits and reviews the ETO is already required to undergo. CUB Watches Out for Consumers in the Legislature
Last month, the 2013 session of the Oregon legislature started with a bang and CUB was there to make sure that utility ratepayers are protected. CUB Gears Up for an Active 2013 Legislative Session
2013 brings another session of the Oregon legislature. And it’s going to be busy. CUB has a vigorous agenda that we’ll be taking to the Capitol, all designed to protect residential ratepayers while advancing thoughtful energy and telecommunications policy.. Here are the top items on that agenda:
